GUIDING PRINCIPLES
| Giving back to the community is the basis for every PC program.
We can build a better community with and for our youthby engaging teens as full and equal partners in creating and carrying out activities and programs.
Enhancing the quality of life for teens is a vital component of building and sustaining a healthy community. Improved teen lives will result in a much stronger community for residents of all ages.
Community service and philanthropy are inextricably linked and vital to the long-term health, progress and sustainability of our community.
By participating in the relationships, events, and institutions that affect their lives, teens develop and apply their capacity to transform themselves and the world around them. |

OUR COMMUNITY
Olney, Maryland was ranked #17 by CNN/Money Magazine (2007) in its annual “Best Places to Live: Top 100"
Olney is among the communities that offer “the best combination of economic opportunity, good schools, safe streets, things to do and a real sense of community.”
PROJECT CHANGE believes that enjoying the benefits of living in such a great community can inspire residents to show appreciation for those benefits by “paying it forward.” Teens especially have the energy and enthusiasm to give back to their community through community service and teen leadership.< |
