About the event
Through participation in this program, youth will:
Be introduced to Project Change and its signature programs (You Have the Power! Community ServiceNetwork, and Youth Empowered Service)
Learn the value of high-quality service opportunities
Develop competencies in program planning
Understand the value of participating in volunteer activities, both personally and for the benefit of theircommunity
Develop leadership skills necessary for successful, meaningful participation in high school and communityservice activities
Learn how to work effectively with others in project teams
Identify potential volunteer opportunities in personal areas of interest
Have the opportunity to take on leadership roles
Students will also earn 15 service-learning (SSL) hours. The Student Leadership Institute will be led by Project Change staff and Project Change high school mentors.
